Tom Frost Exhibition Entrance |
Pieces of work on show |
A lot of the work that was on show were screen prints of varying woodland animals in Tom's striking visual style, with the use of a lot of bold colour and distinctive shapes and imagery. However, what really struck me about Tom's work is how he is illustrative but can apply his style of work in a similar way that a designer would, such as a range of beer bottles that had a strong simple illustration on each- these was perhaps my favourite piece in the exhibition. The items that he had within his exhibition were very unconventional, such as pull along toys and badges, but if anything this seemed to add to the charm and personality of the exhibition.
What I got from the exhibition was more of a desire to work on my illustration work this year. I started making image and improving this in second year but it isn't very sophisticated or clear and this has helped inspire me to find my own style of illustration and keep working on it.
