In preparation for the 3rd Year, it was recommended that we went along to look at the final year show that the current 3rd Years have put together. Emily and myself decided that we would go o the Monday after opening because we wanted to have the time to ourselves to take in all the different pieces without it being too busy.

Current 3rd Year Show |
The show was set up with a lot of space and we noticed the theme of shapes going around the work. Out of the work that was on offer to view, I had some key favourites which I found quite inspiring.

Pieces I particularly enjoyed |
What I liked about these works collectively was the strong identity and distinctive manner that they all had. The branded work in particular was impressive, with my favourite work out of all of the shows being Chris Shuttleworth's 'Camp Three Point' brand identity, which was playful, illustrative and suitable for the audience and purpose of the brand.
Alongside the show itself, they had some different portfolios from the 3rd years which were out on display that we were able to have a look at.

Current 3rd Year Portfolio |
By being able to view the portfolios of the 3rd years that were on display, this gave me a very useful onsite into the way that we will be expected to present our work this time next year. It was slightly intimidating because their work came across as very professional but for this, it has inspired me because I want to leave 3rd year next year with a strong portfolio. This is something that I want to aim towards.
